The Vizcayans hosted their 57th Annual Ball at Vizcaya Museum and Gardens and this year’s theme, “A Venetian Masquerade,” encouraged guests to don late 16th century Italian Renaissance masks while enjoying exquisitely ornate décor and a festive atmosphere of a beautiful evening of fine food, entertainment and dancing while overlooking views of Biscayne Bay.
The Ball started with a cocktail reception with passed hors d’oeuvres and seafood buffet extravaganza, including the silent auction sponsored by: Van Cleef & Arpels and French Riviera Jewelers (Coral Gables) by donating Diamonds Earrings from DOVES. The dinner was catered by Thierry's Catering and followed by dancing to the sounds of Soul Survivors Band, and spectacular fireworks display.
Co-chairs for the Ball this year were Nancy W. Batchelor, Trish Bell and Norma A. Quintero, and philanthropic sponsors were Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Bell and Mr. and Mrs. Jon Batchelor. All proceeds from the 57th Annual Vizcayan Ball directly support the ongoing mission of The Vizcayans to preserve, protect and promote Vizcaya and its historic gardens.
